Name: Lindsay Kristiansen
I’m an expert in: All things summer… give me a bicycle, Birkenstocks, the open road & I am a happy girl.
Where it all began (How yoga came into your life?): I started practicing yoga in June 2011. At the time I was a special education teacher who was spreading herself much too thin and was desperately seeking some sort of balance both emotionally and physically. I found that balance at Moksha, in the hot room and in the relationships I developed with the amazing instructors. I quickly began a daily (sometimes twice a day) practice. Yin Yoga helped me recover from a serious injury in the fall of 2013 which prompted me to become a certified Yin Yoga instructor. When I became pregnant I wanted to be sure I was making the proper accommodations for my changing body so I registered for my 85 hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher training. I was lucky to be able to practice right into the week I delivered! I am so passionate about all things baby & yin.
Favorite food: Anything made out of potatoes (french fries, chips, whipped, smashed, roasted. I’ll eat them)
Where can you find me when I’m not in the hot room: You can find me adventuring with my son John, cooking (EATING) & when the time comes for me to return to work I’ll be teaching 4th grade.
What you can expect in my class: Accessible postures with accommodations for all, relaxing music & a whole body focus.
Trainings completed: Joe Barnett’s Yin Teacher Training Sept 2014, Kids Yoga Teacher Training February 2015, Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training May 2015
