In this pre-registered class, specifically tailored for mothers-to-be, we will be working through both asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing). Both will help to prepare the body and mind for the changes experienced during the 9 months leading up to and during the birthing process. The postures strengthen and ready the body for the physical transitions it will experience as well as for the birth day. The breathing will benefit the birthing experience itself as well as encouraging conscious relaxation and acceptance of all the transformations occurring within the body during pregnancy. You wouldn’t train for a marathon only by reading books about running so why train for one of the most important days of your life without active practice?
